I ca...Dude, you are so right on in so many ways...<br /><br />I can appreciate what they're trying to do with the "Judgment House" I really do, and I love their particular zeal for presenting the Gospel boldly. However, I just wish they thought the matter through a bit deeper.<br /><br />Same with the Halloween candy. I mean, really, do you think Satan is defeated because you keep your porch light off on Halloween.<br /><br />Perhaps I'm just too far left to recognize my own blindness, but I just don't see the Christ-like example in putting sign outside your closed door. In the Scriptures I see a an open-armed interacting relational Lord, willing to go to the utmost for His, and full of love and longing for humanity.<br /><br />Myself, I half the porch light on, some creepy music going, and I open the door in costume. I want my neighbors to know that I'm one of them, that I love them, and that I want to participate in life with them.<br /><br />Halloween is a rare opportunity where others are knocking on your door, Christians would be wise to embrace this opportunity.Matthewhttp://matthew.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
